There’s no shortage of ways to be distracted despite our best intentions. Modern life is full of it – social media, phones, emails & then to-do lists & appointments on top of normal life admin, etc. It’s a lot as we all know.

When we’re inundated it’s so tricky for our brain & whole being to get into the flow. So here are some potential ways on how you approach planning and using magic that could support you.

Firstly, let’s try on the idea that we often create or dream from an unlimited, unknown space that is totally inspiring, energising, and all-round delightful. And then we plan from what we know that we know how to implement. This is generally the space that planning comes from. It plays a part because when we focus on our dreams or goals, our logical mind wants to put things into action to walk towards them to create a sense of momentum.

Everyone has their own relationship to planning, so you’ve got to find a way that works for YOU. This will change with different circumstances in life & that’s natural. Committing to showing up in aligned ways is the key.

Now, how do we fuse our systems &/or planning and the juice of possibility? Imagine these structures like river banks, they hold the space for the river (aka. magic) to flow. If we had all flow & synchro without following through, we may not materialise all of the great things that could come our way.

Here are 5 ways to combine planning with magic:

  • Review your ideas, projects or goals/intentions and ask

Do I feel called to delegate, replicate or terminate any of these? What can you eliminate knowing that when you say no to it, you’re saying yes to taking your time & space back. Check to see if you can streamline any of your systems to maximise efficiency, perhaps that’s automating workflows or pre-scheduling content, allow yourself to receive more easeful pathways.

  • Curb distractions.

This could be phone on flight mode, a regular tech detox, grey scaling your phone, deleting certain apps off your phone, or chunking your tasks. Perhaps no emails before lunchtime to maximise your morning productivity by committing to using it to focus on your main project.

  • Shift your frequency.

Simple ways to step towards this are meditation, working with a practitioner who supports your wellbeing & expansion, gratitude, time in nature, and doing things you enjoy. Also being mindful of what you ‘consume’ in terms of information, especially if you are feeling raw. This includes the spaces you spend time in and what you eat. If we are feeling strong and centered, it’s much easier to observe and not absorb what is around us.

  • Connect with your ideal collaborators.

It could be ideal for clients, colleagues, or the community. Connect first to the feeling & knowing, values & the infinite potential beyond your mind’s understanding. From this space of feeling juiced up, follow your inner guidance about how, where or who you could connect. Sometimes there’s a lag in receiving the answers so trust. The idea may dawn on you right away or 2 weeks later when you are in the shower!

  • Take inspired action.

You may have heard the phrase “follow your highest excitement” and “follow your bliss” YEP. Aaaaanddd…and for our minds, that can sometimes feel easier said than done when your material needs or to-do lists are stacking up. So, if that’s you, for fun try it on in a less ‘high stakes’ area or for a period of time per week. Practice deeper listening, to your inner being, your heart. Like anything, with practice it will strengthen. Funnily enough, intuitive guidance can save a bunch of time that the mind would’ve spent figuring it all out.

So being curious with yourself about how to place your ideas and goals in your mind, your schedule and with your energy investment along with reducing distractions and increasing streamlining can strengthen those river beds to allow for more flow, synchro & magic to pop in.

Being aware of your frequency and finding aligned ways to support it, will build your capacity to have greater clarity on connecting with others in ways that are win-win & feel right.

Take inspired action, sometimes this might defy logic but if the hunch feels strong, sometimes it fits in a way that seems completely obvious!
