Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper
- Basic understanding of accounting processes
- Strong computer literacy
- Diligent and high attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- A forward thinking, proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to problem solve and focus on continued improvements and efficiencies
- Good communication skills
Tasks & responsibilities
- Accounts Payable – process invoices, prepare payments, reconcile creditor statements and prepare supplier account application forms
- Accounts Receivable – prepare customer invoices and statements, receipt customer payments into Xero, follow up outstanding debtors
- Reconciliations of bank, trial balances, and end of period reports
- BAS & GST Reporting
- Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures
- Assist in preparing sales contracts, processing invoicing, issuing credit notes and processing warranty claims
- Support other departments as required
