Pearl Lemon is looking for a highly motivated and driven person to help drive forward our ambitious growth plans throughout 2022 and 2023. You will be an important part of a tight-knit team who has a hands-on approach and are passionate about taking the business to the next level.
A comedy script writer is an integral part of our team. We are looking for someone that will help build out excellent content for our companies in relation to our services. Comedy writers might concentrate their work in specific writing genres, such as romantic comedy movies, television sitcoms, and stand-up comedy, or they can specialize in one comedy area, such as satire, physical humor, parody, or prop-based comedy.
We are looking for someone who prides themselves on their speed of communication, attention to detail, and meticulous planning skills, but can adapt to change in a very fast-moving environment.
Ideal Applicant or Experience
1. Comedy Writer Educational Requirements
It is not necessary to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree. However, a degree in English, journalism, or communications is an added bonus.
2. Humor Writer Experience
A humor writer needs experience in successfully pitching ideas or selling scripts. Since humour writers are freelance professionals, they will need to identify prospects and pitch ideas on a regular basis.
The ability to do this is therefore necessary for success as a comedy writer.
