Thinkerbell is looking for an amazing freelance Finance Cop (Financial Controller) to join our team of Thinkers, Tinkers and COPs in Melbourne.

As a Finance Cop (Financial Controller) at Thinkerbell you are equal parts measured and magic. You will report into the CFO and will work across the business giving us the boost we need to get through year-end, help out on special projects and provide holiday cover.

THE TASK AT HAND

You’ll have four key things to do:

1: Balance Sheet Reconciliations

2: Set up monthly B/S reconciliation process and train the Finance Assistant on these.

3: Provide holiday support (covering JCR’s, revenue recognition, end of month revenue review and processing accrual and deferrals where appropriate and billing)

4: Assist with adhoc projects

Ideal Applicant or Experience

WHAT YOU’LL BRING WITH YOU

• A minimum of 2-years’ agency experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A genuine passion for the industry and pride for your work
• Understanding of new financial technologies
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and office skills
• Excellent organizational, time and self-management skills
• Exceptionally detail orientated
• Strong sense of initiative
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• A strong handshake
• A big heart
• Good attitude

The Finance Cop will have all round experience and be you’re comfortable with:

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• JCR (Job Cost Reports)
• Revenue recognition
