We are a 100% women owned start up, working in the implementation space of International / Pacific Islands business, industry and trade development. 

Our company Araneo, will launch on the 1st of July. Offices are located in Brisbane and Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea).

We are seeking a creative consultant for the development of our logo and brand style.

Araneo is the Esperanto word for spider. Our name choice is inspired by our web / network of experienced colleagues across the globe and the myriad traditional associations of the spider

We’re not appropriating anyone’s language and we’re not anchoring ourselves to a specific location / population.

Meanings and Connotations:  

Spider – The spider, along with its web, is featured in mythological fables, cosmology, artistic spiritual depictions, and in oral traditions throughout the world since ancient times.

• Mother, Grandmother spider, Arachne, Ariadne, Neith, Utta /  Nareau (created the universe Kiribati), Areop-Enap (Nauru) etc etc

Associated with: wisdom, women, vision, creation, innovation, interconnectivity, pathways, destiny, web / networks, patience, persistence, creativity, weaving, decisions and consequences, strength, resilience, elegance, practicality, pragmatism, mystical, visionary, teacher and teaching, quick moving protector, nurturer and (in several cultures) the spider taught humans writing, spinning, net creation and weaving + 170 more relevant concepts!
