About the Job or Project

Kic is seeking a talented and experienced Freelance WordPress Designer to assist us in designing a new WordPress website. This is a short-term project that requires expertise in designing for SEO optimisation purposes and a solid understanding of WordPress design principles. While web development skills are desirable, they are not essential for this particular project we are open to candidates who can develop and design but we can provide resource for build if need be.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our team to understand the project requirements, target audience, and goals of the website.
• Design and develop a visually appealing and user-friendly WordPress website that aligns with the company’s branding and objectives.
• Implement on-page SEO techniques to optimize the website for search engines and improve organic visibility.
• Ensure the website is responsive, fast-loading, and compatible with different browsers and devices.
• Customize and integrate necessary plugins and themes to enhance website functionality.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix any issues or errors.

Ideal Applicant or Experience

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your past projects
• Proficient understanding of WordPress CMS and its core functionalities.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to implement on-page optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and understand project requirements.

Desirable Skills (Not Essential):

• Web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP) to customize and enhance website functionality.
• Experience with popular WordPress plugins and frameworks.
• Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and measure website performance.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) for image editing and optimization.
