Freelancing Gems Member Manager is the heart of our digital membership business. You may come from a background of customer service, sales, administration or recruitment backgrounds and if so you will want to apply for this role.

You are front facing and the first point of contact for the women on our platform looking for work, you will help connect them with the right positions, you will be liaising with employers on their talent needs, managing the onboarding experience for members and take responsibility for their member experience throughout the year, fielding customer service enquiries, selling job ads to employers, hosting masterclasses and member events, managing the closed facebook page and supporting our Recruiters with successful candidate care… and that is in a quiet week!

Good afternoon gems,
Kirsty and I have been at the Tropical Innovation Festival up in Cairns this week, spending some much needed time ON our business, learning from some stellar tech leaders and connecting with as many new people as we possibly can.

So let’s talk about how important it is to be leveling up, learning something new and to be pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.

While Freelancing Gems is a tech platform and this is a tech conference, I have to admit, my background in business and my networks are really made up of female founders and entrepreneurial businesses. I haven’t spent a lot of my career in the tech industry, so attending this conference is a stretch for me - it’s pushing me outside of my comfort zone.

One of the things that Covid has taken away from us as professionals is the opportunity to extend ourselves and grow our networks. That’s something we really try to bring to the table for our members at Freelancing Gems with regular member meet ups, co-working days, monthly masterclasses and conferences.

What’s one way you’ll push yourself out of your comfort zone this week?

Here are a few ideas to get you started:
💎The new financial year is upon us, so it’s the perfect time to review your rates. Give yourself the pay rise you deserve, and communicate that change to your clients. (draw in your post from last week about the increase to the minimum wage)
💎Make one new connection this week to build your network. Reach out in the FG FB group - ask a question, answer a question, introduce yourself and your services. You never know, a fellow Gem might be looking for someone just like you for an upcoming project.
💎Do more work you love with an FG membership - have you applied for a job on the jobs board this week? are you connecting with other gems through your dashboard?
