About the Job or Project

To support our growth, we’re looking for a freelance Digital Copywriter to join us in our newly expanded head office in Rosebery, Sydney. Assisting both the Marketing and Brand teams, this position will be responsible for using their craft of writing in a practical setting to deliver marketing content that drives results and creates the development of original content for various audiences across a range of marketing materials.

We are looking for a freelancer who can:

• Deliver digital copy with a creative flair that will capture the attention
• Have a strong understanding of search engine optimisation principles, with the ability to write website/online copy to help drive website search results.
• Have utilised SEO tools and understand the principles of how to write digital copy that converts online.
• Research topics to create unique and engaging content in line with SEO best practises
• Be able to manipulate and massage copy in different tones of voice, for various channels and scenarios, helping to convey brand/s stories
• Write copy, delivering short, punchy and on-brand messaging
• Repurpose content to ensure its appropriateness across different channels while maintaining the consistent communication of key messages
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with the flexibility to change plans quickly
• Ability to identify proactive opportunities to enhance our brand and keep up-to-date with the latest strategies and trends
• Keep track of current, developing, and changing global trends in fashion and styling and communicate these trends through written styling content
• Create engaging content, write copy, proofread, and edit for the website, social media posts, email and other digital channels
• Interpret creative briefs to develop exceptional creative copy that addresses audience pain points or establishes the brand’s authority on a topic
• Work with brand leadership to write messaging across products and our digital experience
• Take direction and be briefed by both the Head of Brand and Head of Marketing

• Basic HTML knowledge is advantageous but not essential
• Attention to detail
• Ability to understand nuances of tone and syntax
• High-level grammatical knowledge is essential
• Knowledge of SEO is advantageous
• Exceptional written and communication skills
• Minimum 3 years of copywriting experience
