Sixty per cent of job losses due to COVID have impacted women. While the 2020 Budget allocated $240M towards created new jobs in industries focused on women, those women are unable to return to work without viable childcare options. With no new initiatives into the childcare subsidy outlined in the Budget, childcare fees are only going to rise.
