GemCon 2021, for the Self-Made Woman

GemCon is a one-day conference for the self-made woman. Presented by Freelancing Gems, the first GemCon event was held in Brisbane on September 09, 2021, at the Brisbane Business Hub.

GemCon 2021 included an incredible program, with over seven panel discussions, fireside chats and keynote presentations. From the future of work, to diversity and inclusion, money moves, and the crossroads of motherhood and ambition, these were just some of the topics covered in a jam-packed schedule.

Over 100 businesswomen spent the day together, hearing from some of Australia’s most successful business leaders, from small businesses, to global brands, charity organisations and medical professionals who did not just hope for it, but worked for it.

Speakers included Yas Grigaliunas, CEO and Co-Founder of The World’s Biggest Garage Sale, Laura Campbell of Deloitte Digital, Teresa Reed CEO of Mangrove Housing Limited and the founder of The Forgotten Women campaign, Dr Heidi Peverill, Specliast Breast Cancer Surgeon, Sharon Orapeleng, a behavioral change expert and a mental health professional, Stacey Head, Founder and Managing Director of She Wear, Revie Schultz, Founder of Revie Jane, Dr Jess Blomfield, Head of Communications and Engagement at Go1, and so many more.
